planning permission for the storage and maintenance
of their fairground equipment. A new challenge

for the practice at that time insofar as the appeal
was handled under Scottish law. The "Reporter" was
persuaded that the principles of the [former] English
Circular 22/91 should equally apply in Scotland and
the essential need for the showmen to be adjacent
to their fairground equipment resulted in the
Inspector granting planning permission.
